I have a real love for retro cartoons, and by that I mean the tv shows and movies I watched as a kid \/ young adult. Anime is a genre I really enjoyed and Ghost in the Shell<\/a> was one of the movies I remember watching quite a few times.
When the live action movie<\/a> was announced I was quite surprised by the casting, but I did go see it and I loved the visual spectacle they created, everything from the major herself to the geisha robots and just the overall feel of it was (imo) awesome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I decided to search for source images I really liked and found a couple, combined them into one image, and that became the image I would try to recreate in Forza Horizon 5’s vinyl creator….<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started with the linework of major and the geisha, and adding a bit of colour <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"\/<\/a>
then I added Batou in a different style, much more cartoonstyle i’d say…<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"\/<\/a>
Having most of the linework done I started filling\/colouring.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"\/<\/a>
added the first part that would be more shaded\/highlighted\/detailed<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"\/<\/a>
Then Majors face, I did try to get Scarlett Johansson’s features in there…<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"\/<\/a>
adding the shading and highlights to her lips made it work much better..<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"\/<\/a>
coloured and detailed the “goggles” and finished Batou.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"\/<\/a>
added a bunch more details to fill in the geisha’s internal face<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"\/<\/a>
adding these shades and highlights was so much fun, it really made the image so much cooler<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"\/<\/a>
finishing it of with the upper bits of the geisha’s face and adding colour and further details to the flower.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"\/<\/a>
Once it was all done I tranfered over to the Xbox for a final check, and then onto the layout….<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A gift from PGG and T10<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While I was creating this vinyl group, pgg\/t10 had released an update for the game and with that update came a block from all auction house activities, as a gift for the inconvenience, they sent out 2 rare cars to all players… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is when I decided to pick one of those cars as my canvas…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
